Compliance Review
|
|
| The sub-field of Compliance Review is an aspect of our
regulatory practice of deserves mention of its own. J.B
Randolph focuses compliance review, as mainly on fraud
litigation and audit avoidance by our clients, as a
preventive measure. Clients are becoming more and more
aware, through our fax blasts to them and seminars we give,
and word of mouth, of the destructive impacts of fraud
litigation and audits against them. As a result, they
approach our firm much more frequently for a complete review
and regulatory overhaul of their billing practices,
including other issues such as practice structures, business
relationships, practice ownerships and scopes of
practices—all of which can lead to fraud litigation and
audits against them. Clients, in a consultation, soon
realize that the small cost of a compliance review is worth
the minimization of such costly proceedings against them.
While a compliance review does not guarantee against such
proceedings, we find that preventive actions the firm
recommends produce positive future responses on the part of
insurance companies, which are almost always the initiators
of litigation and audits. |
